Medium: Photographed with a 4×5 camera and the final print was a collotype print. (Collotype is a photomechanical / lithographic-like process invented by Alphonse Louis Poitevin (1855) in which a pane of ground glass is coated with a bichromated gelatin.)
This image was taken on our way to Globe, Arizona. We were out photographing looking for images that would compliment our series titled “Identical Otherness.” This body of work is about our twinship. This cactus immediately caught our attention in the land of cacti. The two joining cactus were the same but, yet different. We are identical twins living in Phoenix and we own and operate Tilt Gallery.
