Notorious sleep-walker, self-professed pizza lover, and New York-based funny man Mike Birbiglia is no stranger to Mesa Arts Center.
The award-winning comic, best known for his embarrassment-fueled monologues, came to the venue two years ago for his show, “My Girlfriend’s Boyfriend.” He returns Friday, May 2, with new jokes and a new tour, dubbed “Thank God for Jokes.”

The comedian, author, frequent This American Life contributor, and star and director of Sleep Walk with Me comes to the stage with tales of Cats-a-chusetts, nut allergies, hosting an awards show for angry stars, and following tough acts like Fozzie Bear.
