Imagine a woman who can sing opera while juggling six flaming torches blindfolded on a unicycle. Doing all of those things at once may not be possible (or safe), but it would definitely be interesting. Humankind has a unique fascination with strange things. And, with its third Thursday variety show Girls Gong Wild, MADCAP Theaters will showcase the bizarre, baffling, and under-appreciated talents of local ladies. Think Styrofoam sword fighting, a presentation on how to hit on moms, and Napolen Dynamite dance re-enactments.
The panel of judges changes every month, and March 15’s competition puts local drag queen Becky Bodacious and the beautifully tough AZ Derby Dames on the panel.
