There’s literally nothing sexy about zombies. Even if a pack of undead creepsters was scantily clad, the whole gray-skin-and-sunken-eyes thing would deter most humans from making a move.

Maybe that explains the resurgence of zombie appreciation in popular culture over the last few years. As costume manufacturers keep pumping out “sexy” skunk, Nemo, and even crayon costumes (we’re not making this up) there’s a portion of the population that still just wants to have their pants scared off.

In comes the Fourth Annual AZ Zombie Prom. Skipping the traditional costume contest (where typically the skankiest “mouse” would win), the prom king and queen are selected based on who looks the most undead, as judged by a crowd of one-night necrophiles at Chasers.

Music from German psychobilly group Mad Sin and local acts Limit Club, Moonlight Howlers, and Stitch Hopeless and The Sea Legs keep the beat going. The undead fun starts at 6 p.m.
