Now’s the time to really show your USA spirit.
While the Americans’ highly hyped match against England catered to the most casual of soccer fan, the next World Cup 2010 game for the Stars and Stripes will truly test your footy devotion. For one, it’s against Slovenia, a team that doesn’t have the star appeal of the Brits, but is still a solid side that took out Poland, Czech Republic, and Russia to qualify for football’s biggest stage. And, for two, the game (unlike the post-morning-coffee-friendly, 11:30 a.m. game against England) kicks-off at the near butt crack of dawn, which, in our opinion, is a perfect excuse to hit a local bar to watch it.
For more information on local establishments screening the game — slated to start at 7 a.m. (local time) Friday, June 18, in Johannesburg, South Africa — check out our World Cup Soccer Bars directory.
