Eat before you head out to see “Chomp: A Show About Comestibles.” On view at University Club, the art exhibition is enough to make you drool.
The show is a visual collection of edibles including veggie Ouija boards, ceramic, sweetly painted cupcakes, and a photograph of frozen peas. And while you can’t take a bite out of any of the pieces, you might be able to snag a set of cast stainless steel flatware by Carlton Bradford or a “Prim & Proper” porcelain bowl by Eric Boos. Just keep in mind that neither is recommended for actual kitchen use.
Curated by New Times contributor Robrt Pela, the show is open through Thursday, September 6, and includes work by Phoenix-based artists Michele and Richard Bledsoe, Alejandra Orozco, Cindy Schnackel, Joseph Walter, Brendan Regan, and Judy Feldman.
Tue., July 10, 5:30-7 p.m.; Tuesdays-Fridays, 9-11 a.m. & 1-5 p.m. Starts: July 10. Continues through Sept. 6, 2012
