Sponsored by ASU’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences’ Department of English and the Center for Science and the Imagination at ASU, this exclusive gathering (facilitated by science fiction author P.J. Haarsma) will cover the role of science in fiction and reading in the lives of a younger generation.
Joining actor Nathan Fillion in the conversation will be ASU professors Jim Bell, Ed Finn, Peter Goggin, and Sara Imari Walker. “Serenity, Softwire, and the Science of Science Fiction” is scheduled to take place Saturday, June 7, at 8 p.m. inside ASU’s University Club. Attendance is limited to 50 guests. Admission is $250 and includes light hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar.
