Is it knit one, purl two? Or knit two, purl one? We really can’t remember, and if you’re anything like us (or if that “scarf” you started last winter looks more like a coat for an iPhone), local craft haven Frances has just the class for you.

The knitting refresher course, “Learn to Knit!” holds its second session Thursday as part of the boutique’s ongoing monthly workshop series. Designed for knitting novices, beginners will learn the mechanics of knitting from the basics of knit and purl stitches to as binding off — but most importantly they’ll learn exactly what all that means.

Supplies are provided, including needles, yarn, and an incredible amount of patience. The class holds 10 people, and reservations are required.

Cast off from 6 to 8 p.m. on September 19 AT 10 West Camelback Road. Reservations are $55. Call 602-279-5467 or visit www.francessmeeks.com.
