We’re not huge fans of being scared shitless in cornfields at night. Silhouetted, human shapes screaming and waving God-knows-what. Is that a bloody pitchfork, a chainsaw, or a wriggly, dismembered arm? Lord, we’re getting the vapors. Please stop.

The West Phoenix haunt named Fear Farm celebrates what owner Ed Sheely calls its “tenth year of fear.”. The acclaimed haunt features 28 acres of fright, including two different trails through the cornstalks of murderous death and a terrifying sprint through a haunted house. And if some unfortunate patrons get lost in the field, Ed? “We just leave ’em for the birds!”

Laff riot.

Thursdays-Sundays, 7:30 p.m.; Wed., Oct. 28, 7:30 p.m. Starts: Sept. 24. Continues through Oct. 31, 2009
