So we’re watching a video clip of comedian Chas Elstner discuss NASCAR versus Indy cars and how the body changes a great deal after 40 (which, according to him, includes a possible decrease or backing up of semen), and we’re trying to figure out where we’ve seen this certain move he does. Arms raised in a V, kinda cheerleadery/kinda cartoony, head thrown back. He’s a physical comedian, so his being in motion doesn’t surprise us, but it’s so damn familiar. We move on to the bio and a ha! Not only has Elstner been the opening act for Gloria Estefan and Peabo Bryson, but he was once a featured clown in the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. You can take the comedian out of the clown suit, but you can’t take the clown moves out of the comedian.
