$10,000

Despite what its name implies, Labor Day should be about everything but actual labor. We find it hard to relax in the confines of this albeit spread-out city, but the groves at the Queen Creek Olive Mill definitely lend themselves to a day of respite.

On Monday, September 3, the QC crew will celebrate in the mellowest of ways during The Grill at the Mill, featuring live music and grilled Italian sausages topped with a variety of tapenades. Indoor, air-conditioned seating, flights of local beers, and the east Valley spot’s signature sangria and gelato promise to keep you cool — despite the inevitable heat. Hinant Family Vineyards will also provide complimentary wine tastings.

Mon., Sept. 3, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., 2012
