Keep Phoenix New Times Free
We’re aiming to raise $10,000 by April 26. Your support ensures New Times can continue watching out for you and our community. No paywall. Always accessible. Daily online and weekly in print.
If you happen to have a free schedule tonight, you’re going to want to book it down to Tempe for the opening reception of “Bigger Than You” by Nathaniel Lewis.
On second thought, if you happen to have a packed schedule tonight, you might want to cancel. This show is only open until April 9 – that’s this Friday – and from what I’ve seen, it’s not an art show you want to miss.
Lewis, a Masters of Fine Arts Sculpture candidate at ASU, shows off the work he’s churned out in the last six months. “With this body of work I am trying to reconcile the memory of being a
child with the reality of being an adult,” says Lewis. “Who are you? Who did you used to be? What changed? What didn’t? Where do
you belong? How do you deal with things bigger than you?” he adds.

“Bigger Than You” runs until Friday, April 9 at ASU Tempe Campus in the Harry Wood Gallery located in the Main Art Building, Room 120, Forest Mall. The free opening reception is tonight, Tuesday, April 6, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visit http://art.asu.edu.
