The Orpheum Theatre is the grand dame of Phoenix performance venues. The 1,400-seat landmark at Third Avenue and Adams Street opened in 1929 as a vaudeville house and later operated as a cinema. Since then, it’s evolved into one of the city’s premier spots to catch just about any performance. And the Orpheum Theatre 2025-26 performance lineup promises events as spectacular as the space itself.
The venue exudes majesty inside and out. Spanish Colonial Revival architecture blends seamlessly with baroque flourishes, creating a timeless space. Other touches like ornate staircases, chandeliers and murals add to the lush grandeur. Inside the auditorium, a soaring proscenium rises, red velvet seating awaits and a cloud-filled blue sky adorns the ceiling.
The Orpheum’s splendor and historic stature make any performances — be they concerts, comedy gigs, drag shows or theater — feel grander.
All of the aforementioned events can be found on the Orpheum’s upcoming calendar. It also includes screenings of cinematic classics like “Ghostbusters” and “Psycho.” Sci-fi legend William Shatner will participate in a Q&A following a showing of “Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.” And cult icon Bruce Campbell will host “Evil Dead: The Concert” with a live orchestra. Here’s the full Orpheum Theatre 2025-26 performance lineup.
