Style It: Is it Thanksgiving yet? Would you mind if we pretended, for just a sec? One of our favorite fashion endeavors is getting dressed up for the meal of the year, when balancing chic, comfortable, and holiday-season cozy is tantamount. It’s easy to imagine this delicate piece at the dinner table.
Here’s what we would do: Layer the metallic bolero atop Mulberry’s ink-blue bouclé and black stretch-crepe dress (the thick material will disguise any Spanx evidence), and accessorize with muted, autumnal sparkle by adding Eddie Borgo rose gold cone earrings to aid in displays of toughness when the presidential election inevitably comes up, and Newbark loafers to keep your balance should you overindulge in the wine of choice or get so full you’re ready to topple. Pull back some of your mane to keep it off your plate/trough with a Dolce & Gabbana hair slide. Finally, carry an Olympia Le-Tan book clutch should you need to appear occupied. More Gems…
