There’s something sweet, decadent, and juicy about the warmer seasons, and it’s not just because we can sport all our sweat-stained sundresses from last summer. Some tasty fruits are back in season, too. And while we like apricots, cherries, kiwis, strawberries, peaches are perhaps the most succulent of them all. Luckily we can celebrate its deliciousness during Schnepf Farms’ annual Peach Festival, where the fruit can be consumed in just about every way imaginable including pie, cobbler, cinnamon rolls, candy, and pancakes.
The most avid stone fruit enthusiasts can participate in peach pit spit and pie eating contests while the kiddos enjoy a roller coaster and giant slide. Attendees can sample peaches, pick their own from the orchard, or observe the pickers during a train ride through the orchard.
Saturdays, Sundays, 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Starts: May 12. Continues through May 20, 2012
