Translation: PechaKucha (pronounced “Peh-cha Kuh-cha” with emphasis on the first syllables). It’s another way to say that anyone with the gift of gab, public speaking, or creative ideas can present whatever they have cooking in the brain cavity.
The creative networking event geared toward up-and-coming designers was invented in Tokyo in 2003 by Klein-Dytham Architecture’s Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham. The event saw its first Phoenix-area summit in April and just announced that it’s coming back for more.

The shindig rewards brevity and quick-thinking tactics: You have six minutes and 40 seconds to present 20 slides, which is one every 20 seconds.
