The event was part of Phoenix Design Week, a celebration of local design and community involvement and featured a series of posters by local designers, bike racks crafted by local artists and a a talk and book signing with Grant Petersen, cycling advocate and author of the new book “Just Ride.”

RoRo’s first annual Chile Pepper FestivalThere was ample attendance at Roosevelt Row’s first annual Chile Pepper Festival on Saturday as hatch-loving hipsters, couples, kids, and a surprising amount of dogs enjoyed an evening of food trucks, salsa tastings, restaurant vendors, and live music.

The third time was most definitely the charm for the Sound Wave Music Festival.The inaugural edition of the electronic dance music massive back in April 2011 was plagued by unseasonably chilly rain that kept attendance woefully low. Six months later, club and concert promoter Steve LeVine rebounded with a second Sound Wave that featured bigger crowds and a better line-up of performers.
