When we told our dog about Lappy Hour, a monthly networking and adoption opportunity for canines and their humans, all he wanted to know was if there’d be any bitches there. Geez, Mr. Bisquit, evolve already.

New Times caught up with Lappy Hour founder Vickie Rudd, who’s a bit more enlightened than our horny mutt. Says Rudd, “I’m a dog lover, and I’ve done volunteer work with several rescue groups and saw firsthand the need for these dogs to find good homes. Lappy Hour addresses both of these needs, and I knew it would appeal to other like-minded people.”

Reading between the lines, it sounds like, yes, Mr. B, there’ll be some bitches there. Now, would you get the hell off our leg?
