Daniel Mills is all about art, culture, and tacos.
He says he’s always kept up with the happenings on LAtaco.com, a blog dedicated to the lifestyle, street art and taco stands in Los Angeles, and that he knew Phoenix could use a version of its own. So he made a couple emails.
A few months later, with the permission of LA Taco, he’s a one-man blogging machine — armed with a camera and tips from the community. Phoenix Taco features a variety of street art, event fliers and refers to local arts news stories, though he admits to still being on the hunt for a few good taco shops to cover.
“To me, Phoenix is the collective of all these spread out developments–Tempe, Mesa, Chandler, Scottsdale,” he writes. “Instead of growing economically or with more suburban development, we should grow socially and develop a shared perspective of ourselves as Phoenicians. This is where Phoenix Taco comes in.”

Phoenix Taco is still very much in its infancy, but Mills hopes that his coverage will eventually promote a lifestyle in Phoenix that’s geared toward the youth and younger population.
He encourages readers to submit anything “flavorful and interesting” to PhoenixTaco@gmail.com.
“I am only one person, and I can not possibly know about all the great things this city has to offer on my own, so for Phoenix Taco to be really successful, I need help,” he writes.
