Keep Phoenix New Times Free
We’re aiming to raise $10,000 by April 26. Your support ensures New Times can continue watching out for you and our community. No paywall. Always accessible. Daily online and weekly in print.
We love our local authors, partly because they can’t skip us on tour. Outlander series scribe Diana Gabaldon joins fans for a buffet launch party in the Grand Ballroom of the Arizona Biltmore. Hot-off-the-presses The Scottish Prisoner — a crossover reunion of characters Jamie Fraser and Lord John Grey — will be available for $25; only books purchased at the party will be signed that evening. The free event will feature classy nibbles and a cash bar.
Along with hosting the tony soirée, indie bookstore The Poisoned Pen is shipping the book to folks from all over for holiday gifting. If Gabaldon isn’t home long enough to sign yours in time, you’ll get a sweet gift certificate for that loved one who can’t get enough of historic sci-fi romantic thrillers with kilts.
