Just as the characters of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night escaped the fury of the waves to land safely on the shores of Illyria, Brelby Theatre Company’s endured a few seasons of scampering from venue to venue before finding harbor at its own space in historic downtown Glendale. So that comedy of adventure and identity is an excellent choice to start the troupe’s first season “at home.”

While hammering, sawing, and fundraising continue in Brelby’s almost-completed storefront theater, the rowdy, ultra-physical show goes on old-school style under the open sky, the way Will’s crew played at the Globe in the 17th century. (In the event of a real-world storm, actors and audience will move indoors.)
