In geometry, the transitive property is king. If a>b, and b>c, then you can be damn sure that a>c. This property does not work out so well in sports, which will be good news for the Phoenix Suns this week.
A couple of weeks ago, the Miami Heat embarrassed the Suns with a blowout win. A few days later, that same Heat team lost a heartbreaker to the Memphis Grizzlies. If the transitive property worked in sports, the Suns would be staring at certain defeat when the Grizzlies came to US Airways Center, 201 East Jefferson Street, Wednesday, December 8. Instead, the game will likely be a barnburner like the 123-118 win the Suns pulled off last time the Grizzlies came to the Valley.
