Handing over your hard-earned dollars to do Bikram Yoga, a practice that involves working through a series of poses in a humid room heated to 105 degrees, seems a tinge ridiculous when you live in a desert. We get that hotness for free on the daily.

Aspiring/perspiring yogis can take advantage of those temps to bump up your bow pose and get extra loose in lotus during the Free Your Sol Yoga Series on Thursday, June 21, at Civic Space Park.

Bring your own mat when the weekly group class, led by a rotating cast of instructors, goes downward dog.

Thursdays, 6:30 p.m. Starts: June 21. Continues through Aug. 30, 2012
