$10,000

If three local creatives know how to host a kick ass art show (and throw a good party) they’re James B. Hunt, Travis Vallance, and Daniel Funkhouser. Toss in the crew at the Firehouse — which will serve as the show’s backdrop — and you’re all but guaranteed to have a fun night.

The three-man gallery show opens Friday, January 20, with artwork in the front of the venue and “intersting, firehouse-y things happening on stage in the back.” Yes, that means cake, live performances of Hunt’s painted characters, and, if you’re lucky, a performance piece or two by Funkhouser, who’s been known to take the stage in all sorts of costume.

Fri., Jan. 20, 7 p.m., 2012
