$10,000

In 2009, friends and artists Matt Brown and Jay B Fail opened the doors of Push PHX Gallery at 1145 East Roosevelt with a vision of “pushing” the local arts movement forward with exhibitions and events. For three years, the duo brought in local artists in a variety of media for themed shows including collaboration exhibitions and robot takeovers. Four months ago, the two decided it was time for change.

They closed the gallery, only to complete some major renovation. The gallery space was expanded and an outdoor stage was added for live entertainment. To celebrate their return, Brown and Fail will reopen on Friday, April 27, with artwork by Matlocktheartist, Oscar Garcia Jr., Linzy Miggantz, Jules Demetrius, Ray Rivas, Ekose 22, William Brown, Joe Dragt, Angel Diaz, Answer Martin, Closer, and Tracy Perdue (to name a few).

Fri., April 27, 7 p.m., 2012
