While indie-rock flavors of the month come and go, it’s important to recognize when a band has stood the test of time and weathered the trend storms and sub-genre downpours.
The Radar Bros., founded by former Medicine guitarist Jim Putnam way back in the 90s, is one such band. The group’s melodic, indie-rock has found them touring with names like Teenage Fanclub and Modest Mouse, both bands that point toward the ‘Bros. sound: spiky, off-kilter, but still rooted in classic pop traditions.
This show at Rhythm Room features local support from Letdownright (with Kimber Lanning of Stinkweeds/Local First on the drum stool) and The Roar, who were recently featured on taste-making blog Daytrotter.
