$15,000

You’ve heard of the UFC, yes? Well, think of Rage in the Cage as a farm team of sorts for the larger mixed martial arts fighting league. Founded and operated locally, Rage provides a venue for up-and-coming fighters to prove their skills. And RITC 176, coming March 7, will feature 12 pro and amateur bouts between competitors like Drakkar Klose, Preston Harris, David Nuzzo and Dock Phelps — guys you’ve probably never heard of but who might turn out to be some of the best fighters in the country. Only one way to find out.

The rage meets the cage 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Comerica Theater, 400 West Washington Street. Tickets start at $31. Call 602-379-2888 or visit rageinthecage.com for more.

Sat., March 7, 6:30 p.m., 2015
