Ah, 1974. Not only had the Slip ‘n Slide just been invented, but the Fonz made his television debut, kids started playing Connect Four, and Mohammed Ali knocked out George Foreman to win the Rumble in the Jungle. Good year.

Forgive us for waxing nostalgic, but this season’s Arizona Cardinals have us feeling things we haven’t felt in 38 years — the last time the boys in red posted a start this promising. We’ll overlook that they were playing in St. Louis at the time and instead focus on this truth: history repeats. The Cards’ home game against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, October 14, will show us whether or not it’s time to break out those bellbottoms.
