$10,000

Ask the average Joe who Dwayne Johnson is, and you’ll get blank stares or dumbfounded head scratching in response. Mention his legendary alter ego, The Rock, however, and the same folks will easily gush about the high-profile WWE superstar’s ass-kicking exploits.

For more than seven years, The Rock reigned supreme as the self-described “Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment” before heading to Hollywood to start in such flicks as The Game Plan.

This weekend, he returns to the ring after an extended absence to lay the smackdown for the WWE Championship against the current titleholder C.M. Punk. The titanic tussle is one of the highlights of the WWE’s blockbuster Royal Rumble pay-per-view, which emanates from US Airways Center, 201 East Jefferson Street, on Sunday, January 27. However, the centerpiece of the evening will be the rumble itself, a 30-man free-for-all offering a title shot at the WWE’s WrestleMania in April.
