It is, of course, one of the enduring rituals of the American summer to take a tyke to the circus, or just go by yourself and stuff your maw with cotton candy. This year’s edition, titled “Zing Zang Zoom,” is an illusion-filled epic that looks more like Cirque du Soleil than your grandpa’s Greatest Show on Earth. If you’re not one of those folks easily cowed by clowns, arrive an hour before showtime for the All-Access Pre-Show featuring the Ringling Bros. Clown College. It’s free with regular admission.
