What do Styx and REO Speedwagon have in common besides the obvious cheese factor, being aging rock musicians, and sharing the stage at the Dodge Theatre this weekend? The 80s power rockers have seven tracks featured on the Rock Band Music Store catalogue for the wildly-popular video game. Three of Styx’s biggest singles – “Blue Collar Man (Long Nights),” “Renegade” and “Too Much Time on My Hands” – were recently re-recorded for “Rock Band.” REO Speedwagon fans can rock along to jams such as “Ridin’ the Storm Out,” “Roll With the Changes” and “Take it on the Run.” Can’t Stop Rockin’, the new collaboration between Styx and REO Speedwagon, which the bands recorded together in anticipation of their Can’t Stop Rockin’ Tour, will be available this week for Rock Band. We’re guessing the bands will take the stage together and rock out this number during their show at the Dodge this weekend, which, if all goes well, will be one of the only moments that couldn’t have happened 20 years ago. (.38 Special will also perform.)
