Yes, it’s a mad world, especially at Firebird International Raceway, where Phoenix Five-O’s modified cruiser sometimes bests the best of the public’s dragsters. “I’ve seen him do it,” says Firebird spokesperson Anna Hackett, who keeps us all safer by promoting Friday Night Drags and other legal-but-thrilling events. “We are a sanctioned track,” Hackett says. “It’s not a grudge-match thing; it’s really kids that want to show the performance of their vehicles and the skills of their driving.”
