The challenges facing local news organizations are very real. That's why reader support matters more than ever. If you believe independent journalism matters, make a contribution today and help us reach our summer fundraising goal of $15,000 by August 9.
Let’s be honest, everyone coasts this time of year. It’s that special time of the season when the kiddos gorge themselves on goodies and nurture their fledgling, young lust for material possessions, while the grown-ups do, well, basically the same thing. And here in AZ, it’s also the only time of year when one can bundle up in winter layers without melting to death and — tomorrow morning be damned — have a night out on the town on a weekday.
O.H.S.O.’s annual Jingle Beers: The 25 Beers of Christmas event is the perfect reason to do so. The nano-brewery located in the heart of Arcadia at 4900 East Indian School Road will servE up only the season’s finest liquid long-johns, ensuring that their patrons are warm, cozy, and perhaps a little drunk on the Christmas spirits. Not that top-notch seasonal brews need much help in stirring up a little brouhaha, but O.H.S.O’s annual event from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, December 19, is free, which never hurts. Attendees must be 21 or older. Visit www.ohsobrewery.com or call 602-955-0358 for details.
