Ever since Allie Brosh and her webcomic Hyperbole and a Half dropped off the face of the Internet more than a year ago, we’ve been twiddling our thumbs, attempting to find similar webcomics (her friend Matthew Inman creates a pretty good, and wildly successful one called The Oatmeal), and putting her return on our wish lists.
And this morning, we received very good news.

Brosh’s last post before her hiatus was titled “Adventures in Depression,” which featured her main character (herself) who was struggling with the pressure of putting together a book (set to come out this fall) while losing interest in all the things she loves.

And then she took a much-needed break. Her webcomic was widely popular despite its very simple style — Brosh creates Hyperbole in Microsoft Paint — and had thousands of readers and fans.
This morning, Brosh posted a new comic,in which she talks about her time off and her increasingly bright future.
