There’s always been a healthy dose of competition between the firehouses and the police stations. (Of course, the toughest among us would have a little friendly rivalry going.) At this Sunday’s 9/11 Tribute that contention will play out for a good cause.

Firefighters and police officers will strap on their ice skates and battle it out in a game of hockey to see which side comes out on top. But the group that really wins is the Valley-based 100 Club, a charity that provides financial comfort to families of fallen officers.
