Winters in the Valley are typically mild affairs. Not having to shovel mounds of snow is a prime motivation for withstanding our blistering summers. Still, visions of snow angels sometimes appear and we get the urge to play in the powdery white stuff. Warren Miller’s Wintervention is sure to fulfill our winter wonderland yen.

If you’re a fan of extreme sports filmed beautifully and set to a soundtrack, know that Warren Miller was one of the originators of the film style some 60 years ago. Catching friends’ skiing exploits on celluloid and narrating the footage at parties led to forming Warren Miller Entertainment. He produced his first feature length film in 1950. Nowadays, WME continues without Miller, but their latest flick, Wintervention, maintains the focus on snow-busting hi-jinks like crazy ski jumps and killer snowboarding from around the world.
