The best thing about the University of Arizona Wildcats owning the Arizona State Sun Devils on the football field during the past few years? We don’t have to hear that “wait ‘til basketball season” crap that used to spout from the pie holes of red-and-blue devotees. Mainly because them pussycats, once the Pac-10 kings of the hardcourt, have lost, believe or not, five straight to the normally dormant Sun Devil men’s basketball team.
Ha!
The ‘cats will try to reverse fate when they visit Wells Fargo Arena, Sixth Street and Veterans Way in Tempe, for the one and only time this season. New UofA coach Sean Miller will bring in a hot-and-cold team that closely parallels the up-and-down nature of the Herb Sendek-led Sun Devils. Expect a contest that goes down to the wire.
