ASU’s Phoenix Urban Research Laboratory (PURL) kicks off its first Phoenix Urban Design Week on Monday, April 9, at 6 p.m. Through lectures and panel discussions featuring local historians, writers, and architects, Sloane McFarland’s sculpture installation “Signband,” and a screening of the decade-old documentary Making Sense of Place – Phoenix: The Urban Desert, PURL will explore Phoenix’s past, present, and future.
