Since there’s really no better accessory than a cocktail in your hand, each week brings you a tasty adult beverage from one of our favorite drinking establishments, complete with recipe.

This week: The Spiced Rum & Ginger Ale at Tuck Shop.

The Phoenix spot’s no-ego approach to comfort food and drink is obvious, especially on a Wednesday when there’s an all night drink special offering $3 selected cocktails, $2 cans of Kiltlifters, and $5 glasses of wine.

Did someone say $3 cocktail? Oh, yes and we aren’t talking low grade liquor and Canada Dry here. Tuck hand crafts their own ginger ale and tonic water to create specialty cocktails that give a head nod to 1920 and ’30 classics.

Will you step up to support New Times this year?

At New Times, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $15,500 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $30,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of New Times, now’s the time to give back.

$30,000

The Spiced Rum and Ginger Ale uses Crusoe Organic Spiced Rum , which gives off notes of cinnamon, vanilla and nutmeg.

(recipe after the jump.)

Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz Crusoe Organic Spiced Rum
3 oz hand crafted Ginger Ale
(Ginger ale recipe consists of agave nectar, lemon zest, lemon juice and a tad bit of cinnamon)

In a rocks glass combine ice, spiced rum and ginger ale. Garnish glass with a lime. Sip to lose your ego and feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
