Independent Journalism in Phoenix Needs You
We need to raise $15,000 by August 9 to support the reporting our community depends on. Reader support keeps us independent and is playing a larger role in funding local journalism and shaping what comes next. If you believe independent local journalism matters, make a contribution today.
Worried your cultural ventures are so last season? Better mark your calendars for Arizona State University Art Museum’s Spring 2015 Season Opening Reception, where guests will have the opportunity to view new exhibitions including “Tan Ping: Follow My Line,” “Unfixed: New Painting,” “The Gift: Selections from the Armstrong-Prior Archive,” “Architecture for Place: Glenn Murcutt,” and “Museum/Archive: Recent Acquisitions to the ASU Art Museum Collection,” as well as take advantage of final week of “Fusion: Three Views/One Collection.” The event will also offer a live performance and taping by Scott Kiernan and Victoria Keddie’s E.S.P. TV., a traveling art project based in New York.
The reception will run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, February 20, at ASU Art Museum, 51 East 10th Street in Tempe. Alumni and museum members can access the reception at 5:30 p.m. Admission is free. For more information, visit asuartmuseum.asu.edu or call 480-965-2787.
