You have to hand it to the food truck industry. They’ve managed to undergo a full image makeover in the last few years. Typically banned to the back of parking lots, they were once deemed “roach coaches” and other equally horrific nicknames that ensured they would never get any business from the sorts of people who value their bowels.
The food trucks that gather each week at Phoenix Public Market have helped to turn that gross image into something more gourmet. This week, they’re out to celebrate their triumphant return to legitimacy. On Saturday, October 22, more than 30 local food trucks will park and hawk hot dogs, tacos, quesadillas, burgers, coffee and more for one day only.
Music from local acts Dry River Yacht Club, letdownright, Pick and Holler, Monophonic Hillside and Daryl Scherrer will be the backdrop as your gorge your face full of samples from each vendor.
