As much as First Fridays can be a pain to navigate, we can’t deny that we love walking around the city when there’s so much to see and do in one evening. Lucky for art lovers and people-watchers, too, the Grand Avenue Festival presents yet another opportunity to explore and discover new sides of Phoenix on Saturday, October 20, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The fourth annual edition of the event showcases the Lower Grand Avenue businesses and community with a focus on sustainability. Tours of historic buildings will take place alongside recycled and reused fashion shows, live music, movie screenings, art gallery showings, and lots of food to chow on in between.

Grab a bike and/or comfy shoes, the free festival takes place on Grand Avenue between Van Buren Street and 15th Avenue.

Sat., Oct. 20, 11 a.m.-8 p.m., 2012
