There’s no doubt that Phoenix knows how to make great tacos so the competition at the 2014 Arizona Taco Festival is sure to be stiff.
With over 40 participating bars and restaurants, including local favorites such as Gallo Blanco and Distrito and last year’s winner The Mission, there will be no shortage of tasty $2 tacos on deck. Don’t expect all traditional taco styles, though, as a number of Asian, Southern, and barbecue restaurants are throwing the gauntlet for the title of Grand Champion. Should you get thirsty, there will be plenty of tequila and margaritas to wash it all down.
The Arizona Taco Festival will be serving up all that good stuff on Saturday and Sunday, October 18 and 19, from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. each day at the Salt River Fields at Talking Stick, 7555 North Pima Road in Scottsdale. General admission tickets are $12 and available online, along with more information, at www.aztacofestival.com.
