Yes, yes, you and everyone else in our desert valley have snotty noses, teary eyes, and scratchy throats these days. Well, suck it up, you big baby, because there is a kickass silver lining: our desert is in full, bloated, ridiculously beautiful bloom right now.
Head to Desert Botanical Garden where you can see the explosion of color while it lasts at Spiked! The night promises fine cuisine, access to the current “Allan Houser: Tradition to Abstraction” art show, and a cash bar. Also, local funk-soul party band, Black Carl, will surely set folks on fire with lead vocalist Emma Pew belting her bigger-than-life voice.
Oh, and don’t forget to take your Claritin.
