Phoenix must be the capital of the “Whoa, I didn’t know this was here.” We hear this sentiment often, especially when downtown newbies are cruising Roosevelt or Grand on their way to a bar or show.

Beginning Friday, September 4, Kooky Krafts will join the “whoa” collective. Housed in the former location of Perihelion Arts, the Beatrice Moore/Tony Zahn brainchild will feature “queer, quirky, fun, and fabulous one-of-a-kind handmade items by local artists and crafters.” Examples include vibrant tiki figures by Tom Cooper, ridiculously awesome headwear by Abbey Messmer, and neo-vintage wreaths made out of pipe cleaners by the one and only Miss Moore.
