Local artist William LeGoullon launched a grassroots project this week with a simple challenge: If you love Arizona, wear it.
He’s calling his effort the 1912 Project — a series of limited-edition, locally designed, printed, and supported shirts that he hopes will “promote appreciation and love for Arizona’s creativity, history, symbolism, and identity.”
“By
supporting the project, you’re supporting growth,” he writes. “Promote the small things that others may not see and generate a sense of excitement about being part of what makes up Arizona.”
The project’s named for the year Arizona became a state. There is currently one limited-edition design, by LeGoullon, available for purchase online (we spotted a few at Wet Paint Artist Supply in Tempe, too) for $15 each.
