The gruesome Saw franchise put director Darren Lynn Bousman on the map as a card-carrying member of the splat pack, running with the likes of Tarantino and Zombie. Now Bousman’s cup of blood runneth over, so to speak, with the underground success of his take on humanity’s dark future in REPO! The Genetic Opera. Wanna know how a kid raised on Jesus Christ Superstar did it? On Friday, March 20, Bousman caps a Midnite Movie Mamacita-sponsored Saw Movie Marathon of the filmmaker’s Saw II, III, and IV with a Q&A at Chandler Cinemas. We’ll also be treated to REPO! with a live shadow cast. As if that’s not enough murder, gore, and psychological tautness, you can bid on a date with everyone’s favorite GraveRobber, REPO!’s Terrance Zdunich. We can’t promise you’ll get lucky, but we’ll bet he gives great neck massage.
