This week: The Black Daisy at St. Francis

Once again, Cen-Pho’s St. Francis has found a way
to wow us — and, obviously, it’s by means of a delicious buzz. Their limited list of fresh-ingredient cocktails is unique without over-complicating flavors, and The Black Daisy is the perfect example.

Using el Jimador Tequila, fresh squeezed lime juice, and a heaping tablespoon of blackberry jam, it’s no wonder we find this clever, yet simple, cocktail concoction to be the jam.

(Recipe after the jump.)

Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz. el Jimador Tequila
1/2 oz. agave nectar
1 oz fresh squeezed lime juice
1 tablespoon Blackberry preserves
splash of club soda
1 sprig fresh mint

In a shaker filled with a small scoop of ice, combine all ingredients, excluding club soda. Jam out vigorously and pour contents into a rocks glass. Top off with club soda and garnish with a lime wheel.
