Not since the summer of 2010, when Shakira summoned us with her siren song for the FIFA World Cup championship, has there been so much soccer in the air. The European Football Championship just wrapped up and Olympic soccer is on the way, so you might as well kick it up with Coed Soccer Sundays starting Sunday, July 8.
Before you let your inner Pele run wild, know that these weekly games are optimized for fun rather than courting ravenous soccer monsters who would risk a red card to win. Instead of having 11 per side as international rules dictates, teams are made up of seven players, five guys and two gals. Also, for goodness sake, leave your vuvuzelas at home.
Sundays, 7-10 p.m. Starts: July 8. Continues through Aug. 26, 2012
