The Super Bowl may have cornered the beer market, but for one weeknight before the big game Phoenicians will have a chance to crown a champion of a darker variety. The Great Whisk(e)y Bowl Debate is a quest for superiority of the spirit. First-come, first-served attendees will sample brown barrel booze from Ireland, Scotland, and Canada amongst homegrown varieties to declare which reigns supreme.

Take a whisk(e)y drink and hear some songs that remind you of the good times at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 27, at Crescent Ballroom, 308 North Second Avenue.
